Focus

Magalí is a multidisciplinary researcher with a background in Feminist Economics, dedicated to advancing social justice and enabling people to lead fulfilling lives within planetary boundaries. At ZOE, she leads efforts to redefine the goals of economic systems by developing alternative policies, models, and metrics that support social and environmental objectives beyond growth, as well as strategies for their implementation. Magalí also coordinates two EU-funded initiatives at ZOE : WISE Horizons and MERGE. These projects aim to improve and promote indicators and models for inclusive and sustainable wellbeing, facilitating their integration into policy frameworks.

Background

Before joining ZOE in April 2023, Magalí worked as a senior program coordinator at the Center for Women’s Global Leadership in the United States and the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth in Argentina. Magalí studied Economics at the University of Buenos Aires and holds a master's degree in Labour Economics for Development from the University of Turin/SciencesPo, as well as a PhD in Law from the University of Birmingham.
