His scientific expertise lies in the fields of industrial policy, unequal development, core-periphery structures, global supply chains, network analysis and socio-ecological development.
Jakob Hafele studied economics at the University of Heidelberg and international development at the University of Vienna. He worked 2 years for the Network for Pluralism in Economics, of which he is co-founder, and 1 year for the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK). He is also an industrial policy trainer trained by UNIDO and GIZ. As co-founder of ZOE, he is responsible for strategy and organisational development.
