Basic Pension

The aim of the project is to launch the prototype of a company-financed basic pension. As a real laboratory, it will test whether poverty in old age can be effectively prevented by the simple way of securing a minimum standard in old age. At the same time, solidarity-based solutions for mutual security will be tested.

The idea behind this is simple: Grundrente e.V. is an association of various companies and organisations. Each company pays a contribution to the basic pension fund per employee and month. From this, all former employees of these companies who have a retirement income of less than € 1,200 are topped up to this amount.
