As a former research assistant at ZOE, Maximilian was primarily involved with fiscal policy issues. From September to November 2022, Maximilian completed an internship at the ZOE Institute on the topic of fiscal policy and contributed to the publication "New Fiscal Rules for the EU - Design Choices Matter". Since December, he has been a Research Assistant at ZOE.
Background
Maximilian is currently studying for a master's degree in Socioeconomics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, focusing on the analysis of public finances as well as distribution, growth and ecology. At Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Maximilian worked on economic convergence in the EU. Before that, he completed his bachelor's degree in Economics at the TU Dortmund University, where he specialised in industrial policy. During his studies, he worked in the field of bank rating and financial market regulation.
