Schwerpunkte

Katherine ist politische Ökonomin. Sie schreibt über systemischen Wirtschaftswandel, insbesondere im Bereich neuer Fortschrittsindikatoren. Sie ist Mitbegründerin der Wellbeing Economy Alliance und WEAll Scotland und hat die Gruppe der Wellbeing Economy Governments (WEGo) ins Leben gerufen. Zuvor war sie über acht Jahre bei Oxfam GB tätig. Sie ist Mitglied in Beratungsgruppen für The Democracy Collaborative, das C40 Centre for Urban Climate Policy and Economy und das Centre for Understanding Sustainable Prosperity. Ihr neuestes Buch The Economics of Arrival: Ideas for a Grown Up Economy (gemeinsam mit Jeremy Williams verfasst) wurde im Januar 2019 veröffentlicht.

Kurzbio

Katherine hat Bachelor-Abschlüsse in Wirtschaft und Politik (University of Melbourne) und promovierte in Politikwissenschaft an der Australian National University. Von 2005 bis 2009 arbeitete sie als Forschungsstipendiatin an der Universität Glasgow und war Honorarprofessorin an der University of the West of Scotland, sowie Senior Visiting Research Fellow an der University of Strathclyde (mit Sitz am Fraser of Allander Institute).
