Focus
Elizabeth is the Development Director of the ZOE Institute for Future-fit Economies. She leads the organisation’s strategic development as well as work related to governance and policy design challenges of creating a future-fit economy.
Background
Elizabeth has spent more than 10 years working on governance and policy for a green and just transition, including focus on topics such as long-term thinking, policy coherence, and policy design processes. She has spent time in education and capacity building, research, and supporting policymaking with organisations like Utrecht University, Keep Scotland Beautiful, Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, and Climate-KIC, where she was a part of the management team of the organisation. Elizabeth was also a co-founder of the 2050 Climate Group, where she held leadership positions from 2014 to 2017. During this time she led the organisation's rapid development to an internationally recognised and award-winning NGO in under three years of operation. She holds a Master’s degree in sustainable development and environmental governance from Utrecht University.
