Burcu´s research interests encompass global material consumption, resource efficiency, food waste, sustainable development indicators, and the SDGs. She furthermore worked on environmental inequality, climate change, and eco-innovation. Her interests lie in policy related sustainable development research and capacity building processes.
Burcu Gözet studied Sociology and Socio-Economics at the University of Mannheim (Germany) and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria). She had exchange semesters at the University of Bern (Switzerland) and the University of Manchester (UK). For three years she worked as a research associate at the Institute for Ecological Economics, at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. After her internship at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Department of Economics and Social Affairs (DESA), she started working as a consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and as a researcher at ZOE.
