Focus

Since December 2020, Sophia has been working as a research assistant on 1.5 degree lifestyles at ZOE. She is interested in the discovery and dissemination of creative, cross-cutting policy solutions for the complex socioeconomic and ecological challenges facing Europe and in the use of different forms of evidence to ensure just and effective social policy.

Background

Before joining the ZOE Institute, Sophia completed a Master’s degree in Public Policy at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Erfurt, Germany. This built upon her interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics (PPLE) from the University of Amsterdam. Throughout her studies, she worked as a research intern on diverse projects in the NGO, start-up, and academic worlds.
